DHA plans expansion of health facilities

DUBAI, July 30, 2017

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) discussed the developmental expansion plans taking place across its medical facilities in Dubai, during a meeting held today at the DHA headquarters.

During the meeting, Humaid Al Qutami, chairman of the board and director of the DHA, said the authority is continuing its expansion plan to provide patients with the best treatment possible, which are at par with international standards to ultimately achieve customer satisfaction.

The expansion plans discussed at the meeting include the primary healthcare sector’s Umm Suqeim Health Centre, Al Qusais Health Center and Abu Hail Health Centre. The expansions aim to increase the capacity of the centres, equip them with the latest technology and smart systems as well as provide specialised clinics and experienced and skilled doctors and staff.

The DHA is also expanding the Family Gathering Centre by constructing a new building that will provide a number of medical and social services for the elderly people.

Due to the high demand on the medical services at Dubai Hospital, the authority will conduct internal modifications at Dubai Hospital to increase its capacity and meet the demand of customers locally and abroad, DHA said.

The DHA will also be expanding and modifying Hatta Hospital to meet demand and offer quality services to patients.

The list of expansions also include three main projects at Latifa Hospital: establishment of a new fertility centre building that will be at par with international standards, expanding the maternity ward and the emergency department to increase their capacity. - TradeArabia News Service
