Dubai-based Alam Steel Industries has become the first UK Cares approved fabricator of reinforced steel in the Gulf region, the company said.

According to the company, this has been possible with the help of Welsh firm R-Tech Services Ltd, a metallurgical testing and consultancy company specialising in the reinforced steel industry.

UK Cares accreditation covers a series of product certification schemes for the complete reinforced steel supply chain, from steel making and rolling through to fabrication and delivery to site. The approval of Alam Steel Industries will give the company a competitive advantage as designers and contractors can have confidence in the quality of their products, it said.-TradeArabia News Service
