Sama Steel picks Epicor for ERP solution
Abu Dhabi, January 31, 2012
Sama Steel, an Abu Dhabi-based steel engineering and fabrication company, has selected a comprehensive Web-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution from Epicor Software, a global leader in business software solutions.
Epicor will help Sama Steel to consolidate and optimize their operations including product configuration, fabrication, project management, supply chain management, marketing, sales, financial and HR management across all of its manufacturing and service businesses.
This will provide key management support as Sama Steel aims to further expand its operations, a statement said.
“Out of a highly competitive pool of 11 potential vendors that we considered, Epicor offered the best proposition,” said Mohamed Saifallah Al Khouri, managing director for Sama Steel.
“We wanted a solution that would deliver best-practice processes tailored for each area of our business, from manufacturing to services, consolidating shared services such as procurement, investment and marketing. Epicor also features a service-oriented architecture (SOA) platform and provides solid analytics and business intelligence data that will facilitate optimum efficiencies and expansion throughout our organization.”
“Epicor delivers state-of-the-art SOA-based ERP solutions to global players like Sama Steel regardless of the type and scope of their business,” said Anish Kanaran, regional director for Epicor in the Middle East.
“For Sama Steel, we are implementing an integrated system that supports growth in the specialized steel engineering and fabrication market while offering robust protection of intellectual property. Building on to the success of this implementation, we look forward to the execution of additional Epicor solutions across Sama Steel and its operations,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
