100 Omani firms to take part in Opex

DUBAI, September 3, 2014

More than 100 Omani companies will take part in an exhibition promoting Omani manufactured products in Dubai, UAE, during this month from September 14 to 16.

Ten SMEs and five handicrafts projects have also confirmed participation in Opex 2014.

The organising committee for Opex, which comprises the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development.
This exhibition will consist of 140 stalls on an area estimated at 4,000 sq m, said Eng. Basim bin Ali Al Nassri, director general of marketing and media at PEIE, and member of the organising committee for OPEX.
"There will be a wide range of high quality Omani products comprising food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, furniture, aluminum products, metals, plastic products, construction materials, marbles, textiles and fabrics, leather goods, perfumes and cosmetics, fertilizers, agriculture, logistics, among others," Al Nassri said.
He added: "Dubai is on the verge of several giant projects that require large amounts of raw materials and primary products especially that it will host the Expo 2020. – TradeArabia News Service
