Delivery....in mid-December

Flying Colours’ QCAA approved aircraft work on track

DUBAI, November 27, 2014

Flying Colours Corp, a North America-based completions, refurbishment and maintenance specialist, is nearing the completion of maintenance work on a second aircraft under approval from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA).

The project is being undertaken at the firm’s headquarters in Peterborough, Canada and involved heavy maintenance on a Challenger 604 as well as interior refurbishment and new exterior paint, said a statement.

The delivery is anticipated to the customer in mid-December, it said.

The interior is being refurbished in new luxurious leathers and fabric, custom carpet and includes the installation of a four-place conference grouping which will result in increased passenger capacity, up from 10 to 12. The aircraft’s exterior is being refinished in a stylish custom metallic paint scheme.

The project, which is taking around 10 weeks to complete, will also include a number of maintenance calendar inspections and service bulletins.

It follows a Bombardier Global Express which underwent MRO work at Flying Colours Corp’s headquarters in June marking the company’s first Qatari registered aircraft to be worked on under approval from the QCAA.

Meanwhile, the firm is set to take part in Middle East Business Aviation (Mean), which will run from December 8 to 10 at the Dubai World Central.

Sean Gillespie, executive vice president, said: “We are very pleased to return to Meba in this our fourth year at the show. The Middle East is an extremely important region for us and we are delighted to be nearing completion on a second aircraft under approval from the QCAA.

“We anticipate further developing our business as demand for private jet travel throughout the Gulf region continues to increase. During the show, we will be talking up our latest approvals and informing potential clients about the benefits of using our facilities.” - TradeArabia News Service
