MANAMA, January 25, 2015

Nass Corporation, Bahrain’s diverse conglomerate with synergistic divisions and subsidiaries that together create a one-stop-shop catering to the full spectrum of industrial sector needs, will be showcasing its range of services and products at the Gulf Industry Fair 2015.

Organised by Hilal Conferences and Exhibition (HCE), the Gulf Industry Fair 2015 is a premier industrial B2B gathering for the Northern Gulf region.

It will be held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Bahrain, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, from February 3 to 5 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC).

Nass Industrial Services, Nass Marine Services, Abrasive Technology Industries and Nass Commercial are the four companies selected to fly the Nass flag at the region’s premier industrial exhibition, said a statement from Nass Corp.

The roots of Nass Corporation are anchored as far back as 1963, when Abdulla Ahmed Nass Contracting Company was formed.

Since the IPO listing on the Bahrain Stock Exchange in 2005, Nass has emerged as a foremost provider of integrated turnkey solutions for the construction and industrial sector, and a preferred partner of choice throughout the GCC.

Nass Industrial Services (NIS) also known as Nass Mechanical Contracting (NMC) started operations in 1972 progressing to their reputation today as one of the leading electro-mechanical engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors and turnkey engineering solutions providers.

Nass Industrial has completed prestigious projects in the oil and gas, petrochemical, power and water, metal and mining and infrastructure sectors in Bahrain and the GCC.

Major projects of NIS/NMC includes piping pre fabrication (300,000 inch diameter) and supply, fabrication, erection of storage of tanks for Sadara - propylene oxide plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia; installation of ship impact protection systems for Bapco; constructing jetty facility for Alba and GPIC/ Mitsubishi Heavy Industries; Construction of four potlines for Aluminium Smelter Plant – Maaden and construction of offsites and utilites for STBLOP (Saudi Technology Base Lube Oil Plant); Procurement, Construction, Testing & Commissioning of Polyethylene Plant for Snamprogetti in Kuwait, it stated.

Nass Marine Services are specialists in the building of small-to-medium sized vessels, ship repairs, and the application of new technologies in the marine industry.

Nass said its Bahrain shipyard was well-placed to manufacture 18 barges a year ranging from 120-250 feet.  The company is also working on a project involving the assembly of small jack-ups designed for the routine maintenance of larger jack-up units, thereby enabling them to remain in operation on station.

Meanwhile, Abrasive Technology Industries (ATI), a highly sophisticated factory for cutting and grinding wheels in the region, has become a hub for global abrasives trading, offering both local and international clients high-quality products and efficient logistical support.

The ATI products have entered the European market since mid of 2014 under the dealership of a foreign brand name.
Nass Corporation’s division, Nass Commercial has set its partnership with Bapco as one of the distributors for introducing the new line of Bapco lubricants into the market.

"Nass Corporation today is the product of a vision of the late Abdulla Ahmed Nass. As we forge ahead into the future, Nass will remain focused on strengthening our relationships across the GCC whilst resolutely maintaining our position in Bahrain in order to create a solid foundation for the future prosperity of the company," said Sami Nass, the managing director and deputy chairman of Nass Corporation.

"The leadership philosophy of Nass continues to be one of flexibility and adaptation which will be at the forefront of our companies’ showcasing at Gulf Industry Fair," he added.

Nass’s roster of prestigious clientele includes some of the largest industrial companies in the GCC, such as Bapco, Alba, Tatweer petroleum, Durrat Al Bahrain, SULB, Snamprogretti, STBLOP, Sadara, Technip, Tekfen, Ma’aden, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Braden Europe B.V, Bechtel, Voest Alpine GmBH & Co.

"We are proud that one of Bahrain’s major corporate success stories’ sees value in taking part at the Gulf Industry Fair," added Abdulrahman.-TradeArabia News Service
