Ma’aden delegation visits Alba

MANAMA, December 6, 2015

A high level delegation from Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) met senior officials of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the world’s leading aluminium smelters, to discuss various challenges and opportunities being faced by the aluminium industry.

The visiting delegation was led by chairman, Abdullah Al-Saif; and president, Abdulaziz Al Harbi, said Alba in a statement.

The delegation met Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Bin Daij Al Khalifa, Alba’s chairman; Tim Murray, chief executive officer; Ali Al Baqali, chief finance officer; Isa Al-Ansari, chief operations officer; Khalid Abdul Latif, chief marketing officer and other officials.

The visit was held in order to build upon existing relations between the two smelters and share information on ways to work together towards a successful future in the aluminium sector, the aluminium giant said.

Speaking on the visit, Alba’s Shaikh Daij, said: “As two of the top aluminium smelters in the world, Ma’aden and we share a strong relationship.”

“We appreciate Ma’aden’s continuous support towards Alba, and look forward to continue working together in the future,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
