Iran’s total amount of imports from the US in October reached $28.7 million, an increase of 85 per cent compared to the same month last year, said a report.

Iranian exports to the US dropped to nil in the same month, reported Iran Daily News, citing data released by the US Department of Commerce.

The data also showed that in the first 10 months of the current year, US exports to Iran reached $213.6 million, indicating a 40 per cent rise against the figure for the same period last year.

Iran's ranking in the list of top US export destinations jumped from 136 in the first 10 months of 2014, to 117 in the same period in 2015, added the report.
