Stanadyne's new Dubai facility to support growing
regional demand

Stanadyne to set up Dubai facility

DUBAI, December 9, 2015

Stanadyne, a fuel injection system developer, has announced plans to open a facility in Dubai, UAE, next year, to support its growing sales in the region and provide technology to meet the requirements for upcoming emissions standards.

Stanadyne is a global leader in the design and manufacture of diesel and gasoline fuel systems based in the US. The company specialises in next-generation components designed to meet rigorous global emissions standards and is bringing its technology to engine manufacturers in emerging markets.

The announcement follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Millat Tractors, a Pakistan-based leading developer of agricultural tractors and machinery, that outlines a long term partnership to supply fuel injection systems.

Millat Tractors will utilise Stanadyne’s mechanical rotary pump technology in their 50 to 85 HP (37 to 63 kW) tractor and genset models, it added.

In partnering with Stanadyne, the company looks to strengthen its position in Middle Eastern markets and focus on developing its next generation of tractor and genset engines, it said.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr John Pinson, president and chief technology officer, Steve Langin, chief financial officer; and Sanjay Chadda, managing director, Near East.

Officials from Millat Tractors including Sikandar M Khan, chairman and majority shareholder; Bashir Rana, senior executive director; Irfan Aqueel, chief executive; and Farogh Iqbal Ahmad, general manager engineering and supply chain, attended.

On the announcement, Stanadyne’s Dr Pinson said: “Expansion in this region is a strategic opportunity for our company to grow a presence in the underserved markets of this part of the world.”

“Our regional presence will allow us to deliver key technology in coordination with our customers to address upcoming emissions regulations,” he said.

The new facility is scheduled to open in April next year, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
