FedEx Express to back ‘Women in Leadership’ forum

DUBAI, October 20, 2016

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp and the world’s largest express transportation company, said it will support the 2016 Global Women in Leadership Economic Forum as its official Gold Sponsor for the third consecutive year.

The forum will take place on October 24 and 25, in Dubai, UAE.

This year, Nathalie Amiel-Ferrault, vice president of customer experience and marketing for FedEx Express Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa, will participate in the panel, ‘Not Just CSR: Embedding Diversity in the Business’ DNA’, said a statement from the company.

The panellists will address the importance of diversity in corporate values, while highlighting best practices in creating an inclusive workplace at all levels of an organisation, it said.

Amiel-Ferrault added: “Our company was founded on a people-first philosophy, with the spearhead of connecting people, places and cultures.”

“To meet the needs of our diverse customer base, we reflect their diversity within our organisation.  Advocating for a diverse workplace enables us to offer equal opportunities to all, placing merit exclusively on talent and ability,” he stated.

FedEx policies and values have led it to be named in the ‘UAE’s top 15 Great Place to Work’ listing for six consecutive years, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
