200 firms to join SME event in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah's SMEs and entrepreneurs are expected to get a boost when more than 200 companies from over 20 countries will join them at a major event in November.

They will discuss the latest developments in the secotor at the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Project Development’s international fair.

The exhibition will be hosted by Ras Al Khaimah Emirate in coordination with Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre. It will take place from November 14 to 16.

This announcement was made in a meeting attended by Mohamed Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, chairman, RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Youssef Mohamed Ismail, head of the Supreme Committee of Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Project Development; and Mohammed Hassan Al Sabab, director of Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre.

The event will reinforce the growth of the SMEs in the emirate, as it will contribute to building strategic partnerships that help in achieving the goals of the partners.

Al Nuaimi affirmed that organising this international exhibition with over 20 countries shall boost the government efforts of supporting the SMEs contribution in the national economy and achieve the non-oil economy.

He also emphasised the role of HH Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and the Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qassimi in supporting the services and facilities that reinforce the SMEs and their sponsorship of the events that bring all the players in on roof, the thing which enhance the emirate position in the regional and global business landscape.   
 
Al Nuaimi added: “With this great number of exhibitors, the exhibition shall offer a unique opportunity for the participants to share and discuss the best practices in the business sector, and showcase the experiences and available investment opportunities in UAE, building business partnerships and reinforce the communication channels between the companies in the private sector from different countries.”

Youssef Mohamed Ismail, head of the Supreme Committee of Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Project Development, said: “The three days exhibition shall be attended by experts from business sectors. The exhibition shall offer the opportunity for small and medium establishment’s owners to reach over 200 exhibitors in one of the biggest SMEs exhibitions in the region.”

He further affirmed that organising such kind of events is part of our mission at Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Project Development, since it represents and ideal forum for supporting the SMEs owners in the UAE.

We are committed to support the sustainable economic development in UAE, and contribute to enhancing our SMEs competition regionally and globally, and support the efforts to transform to the knowledge economy which is built on innovation, creation and excellence.   

Mohammed Hassan Al Sabab, director of Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre, said: “After the significant success of the previous exhibitions and events that took place in the emirate during this year; Ras Al Khaimah shall host many future initiatives including this exhibition.”

“The exhibition shall represent a platform to showcase the SMEs projects, and to convey a message to world that UAE supports the SMEs. UAE also represents an ideal investment destination with an attractive business environment for innovators to launch their projects and ideas,” he said.

Al Sabab underscored the role of the SMEs in developing the economy of the emirate, and for this reason Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Project Development was launched to lead the entrepreneurs, support the youth in establishing their project, encourage innovation and boost the entrepreneurship culture among the youth, being the main backbone for the economic development, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
