Berry Palmer & Lyle (BPL Global), a leading emerging market risk insurance broker, has opened a Hong Kong branch office.

Its chief executive is Peter Gilbert who joins BPL Global from the Newedge Group, where he was head of Political Risk Insurance (PRI). Peter worked in London, New York, Sydney and Singapore before moving to Hong Kong nearly eight years ago.
