EMC placed among 'Leaders'

Dubai, July 17, 2007

The Middle East operations of EMC Corporation, a world leader in information infrastructure solutions, has announced that it has been positioned by Gartner Inc. in the “Leaders” quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for Storage Services, 2Q07” report.

Gartner Inc’s Magic Quadrant positioned EMC based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute it.

According to the Gartner report: “Leaders are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction, and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.”

“As the Middle East’s information management industry matures, the services segment is one of the fastest-growing areas and a key market differentiator.  Our customers in the region recognise and value EMC’s services group as a trusted organisation that enables them to derive the most value out of their corporate information and build a resilient, cost-effective information infrastructure,” said Mohammed Amin, general manager, EMC Middle East & North Africa.

“One of EMC’s major areas of investment across the Middle East is in developing and delivering comprehensive professional and support services that address the complete range of customer requirements, from aligning IT strategies with business objectives to implementing, managing, and maintaining a dynamic information infrastructure,” he added.

Regionally, EMC maintains a services team dedicated to providing consulting, implementation, integration, solution, education, management, and support services. The EMC Global Services organisation helps customers around the world get the maximum value out of their information strategies through 10,000 skilled information-focused professionals, it said. – TradeArabia News Service
