MicroWorld focuses on security

Dubai, September 11, 2007

MicroWorld is showcasing its leading solutions eScan, MailScan and eConceal at Gitex in Dubai.

The event is being held at Dubai World Trade Centre from September 8-12, 2007.

eScan works as a comprehensive protection gear for servers and desktops, while MailScan provides AntiVirus and AntiSpam at the Mail Server. eConeal Firewall is a powerful network Intrusion prevention system.

“The biggest problem in the present day security scene is that there isn’t much of innovation happening by way of perspectives and technologies used in AntiVirus and AntiSpam solutions. Everyone’s trying to add as many signatures of Viruses when it comes to enhancing their AntiVirus products, while most spam blockers are simply adding more blacklists into their filters,” said MicroWorld Technologies’ global marketing head Manoj Mansukhani.

“This is where we take a different approach. We use an exclusive technology called MWL which works at the transport layer of connectivity, while most AntiVirus products have to temporarily download malicious files before cleaning them. To proactively identify previously unknown threats, we use an evolved Intention Analysis. Our AntiSpam uses a unique mechanism named Non-intrusive learning patterns which works on the principles of artificial intelligence in identifying spam and phishing mails,” said Manoj.

“In the Gulf market, centralised security is the keyword for business houses in their approach towards IT security. As much as they want the most advanced in technology, they look for near zero overhead on the network administrator, self-diagnosing capabilities and low Total Cost of Ownership while choosing solutions. And these are the same benefits that we’ve been delivering to business houses and organisations on a consistent basis,” said Nazir Kazi, MicroWorld’s head of international sales (Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa). – TradeArabia News Service
