Sun in Saudi deal with e2

Saudi-based e-Enterprises (e2) has signed a partnership agreement with Sun Microsystems Middle East & North Africa.

Under the agreement, e-Enterprises, a subsidiary of Emirates Computers and Alesayi Communications, will help sell, and implement Sun’s products and services portfolio across all market segments and verticals in Saudi Arabia.

'Saudi Arabia, being the largest market for IT and Communications in the region, is a very important market for Sun. We chose to partner with e2 as it brings with it Emirates Computers’ expertise and unmatched track record of implementing some of the biggest projects in the region and Alesayi’s strong local market presence as well as a wide network of customers and partners, making it a perfect partner for Sun in Saudi,” said Sun Microsystems KSA General Manager Said Jamal.

“We are happy with our long-standing partnership with Emirates Computers and decided to extend this relationship to Saudi as well. We look forward to working closely with e2 and will offer extensive support and training to their staff on implementing our solutions. e-Enterprises (e2), which has offices in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar, offers IT and related services to Saudi Arabia. e2 focuses on four key business lines, which cover communications and networking infrastructure, software solutions, systems integration projects as well as security solutions, and caters to the requirements of important market segments such as hospitality, real estate, government, telecom, transportation and utilities. e2 will promote Sun’s portfolio of software and storage solutions, volume based servers and services directly to customers.

Some of products that e2 will promote are Sun Fire coolthreads servers, Sun fire X64 servers, Sunfire ultrasparc servers, Blade servers, SunRay (thin clients), Sun storage and Workstations.
