Batelco, Bahrain’s leading BlackBerry services provider, has carried out a major enhancement to its BlackBerry platform, resulting in faster connections for subscribers.

“We have invested to deliver the latest technology providing the best-in-class services and our BlackBerry customers are now benefiting from an up-to 17 times faster connection over Batelco’s global network, the fastest and most reliable in the Kingdom,” said Adel Daylami, Batelco’s general manager products and services.

Al Daylami also noted that Batelco’s BlackBerry users now have faster access to many mobile applications.

“Many BlackBerry customers use Social Media sites and tools such as BlackBerry Messenger BBM, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace and they will be very impressed by the quality and speed following the upgrade,” he said.

“Our customers will also enjoy faster browsing and can now access their favourite web content, such as YouTube videos and pictures from Flickr, with far superior speed than previously.”
