Manama, June 19, 2012

Bahrain’s leading telecommunications company, Batelco, has launched new value packages for its fixed broadband customers and increased download speeds, throttle speeds and usage limits at no extra costs for its existing value packages.

The new packages will allow customers to enjoy an unlimted broadband experience at speeds of 1.5 Mbps for BD12 per month, a statement from Batelco said.

“Customers have a choice of seven top value for money packages that deliver the great enhancements including the highest throttled speeds in the kingdom going up to 2 Mbps, at very competitive rates,” the statement said.

The packages are available for existing and new customers who sign a one year contract with Batelco, it said.

All of Batelco’s consumer broadband packages which start at BD10, will still be available as non-contract packages also;  however the  customers will receieve more benefits for the same price with the contract packages.

Ahmed Al Janahi, general manager, media relations, Batelco Group, said: “This is great news for our customers and is delivered as part of Batelco’s ongoing review of its products and services, which are developed to meet the changing needs of our customers .”

“We place the needs of our customers as a key priority and listen to their feedback in order to deliver products and services that improves their communication facilities,” he said.

Customers who are already subscribed to the 3Mbps, 6Mbps, 8Mbps (25GB) or 8Mbps (90GB) packages will be automatically migrated to benefit from a combination of higher throttle speeds, higher usage and if applicable higher download speeds.

Furthermore, Batelco is also introducing new and extra usage bundles at lower rates  for customers who wish to surf at their maximum speed after exceeding their threshold limits. – TradeArabia News Service
