Batelco, a leading telecom company in Bahrain, has announced a new automatic bill payment service for its fixed line and mobile customers.

Customers are invited to visit any Batelco Retail Shop to specify the amount to be automatically paid every month and complete a form in order to set up the Automatic Bill Payment service through their respective bank.

As a special introductory offer, Batelco has announced that everyone who signs up and uses the new service will be entered into a draw to win back a year of full bill payments.

Nine of Bahrain’s leading banks have collaborated with Batelco to deliver the time saving new innovative service. The banks already onboard are AUB, NBB, BBK, SCHB, CITI, HSBC, Ithmaar, BISB and SBB.

Batelco general manager Consumer Division Muna Alhashimi said that Batelco had received many requests for such a service as most customers have bills for various utilities to take of and dealing with them all can be time consuming.

“The automatic bill payment services means our customers don’t have to spend any time paying their telecoms bills each month as it will be automatically taken care of. The service is especially practical for those who have more than one bill and for people who travel frequently and wish to avoid line disconnection due to nonpayment.

“The service meets the needs of customers with busy lifestyles and those who do not like to use e-services for bill payments. Customers are invited to try out the new service which is fast, flexible and reliable, and also free of administration changes,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
