Gulf Business Machines partners with Dutch Cloud

GBM, Dutch Cloud partner to provide cloud services in Gulf

DUBAI, November 13, 2014

Gulf Business Machines (GBM), a leading provider of customised IT solutions in the Gulf, has partnered with Dutch Cloud, a managed cloud provider based in Netherlands, to supply specialised cloud infrastructure services in the Gulf.

The partnership will extend across the Gulf, including the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait, and will bring together GBM’s local expertise and experience in building private and public cloud services with Dutch Cloud’s experience in operating the service.

Both partners of IBM, GBM and Dutch Cloud will combine their years of cloud computing expertise in order to provide a comprehensive cloud infrastructure and management offering to the region.

Philippe Jarre, CEO, GBM, said: “Technology moves quickly and tooling changes constantly, but this partnership provides added value in the depth of knowledge that it brings to GBM.

“This cloud expertise combined with local, on-the-ground market experience creates a very strong platform for our customers in the region and we expect to have the first cloud available for testing within the coming months,” Jarre said.

Martijn van Zoeren, CEO, Dutch Cloud, said: “Customers still often have reservations about cloud, but GBM and Dutch Cloud have the practical experience that we can put in front of them, and that helps in highlighting the expertise that we bring as partners. Dutch Cloud provides cloud infrastructure as a service, the development of the cloud is at the core of what we do and how we earn our living.”

He added: “We look forward to working with GBM on evolving the cloud market in the region.” – TradeArabia News Service
