Du gives customers first 5G-enabled devices free

The first pre-registered customers of du, a leading UAE telecom provider, have received their first 5G-enabled devices free.
The customers have been provided Axon Pro 10 device as a gift from the company, du said.
Du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), continues to encourage early adopters to be part of their family by testing burgeoning technology including the power of 5G connectivity in the palm of their hands, it said.
In collaboration with ZTE, a leading global handset provider, du is empowering UAE residents with next generation technology building towards a faster, more connected future.
As announced earlier, a full group of customers who also signed up from May 8 will receive their devices for free, dispatched to them directly.
As the first operator in the Mena region to provide the fastest live experience of the 5G network to the public in the UAE, with speeds exceeding 1.26Gbps on its live 5G network, du cements its credentials as a key telco enabler in 5G’s successful deployment, the statement said.
