Jeddah to host multi-sector trade fair
Jeddah, December 3, 2013
Local and international traders, manufacturers and entrepreneurs from India, Egypt, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Bangladesh and Pakistan and a contingent of Saudi companies will gather at a multi-sector exhibition in Jeddah this month.
The 25th edition of Jeddah International Trade Fair (JITF), the longest established multi-sector exhibition in Saudi Arabia, will take place from December 15 to 18 at Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events.
The annual platform is organised by Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions and will be held under the patronage of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Zahoor Siddique, vice president of Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions said: “Over the past 24 editions, JITF has provided global companies with an annual platform to showcase their products and services to Saudi traders and entrepreneurs. Since its launch, many of the goods now available in the marketplace were first seen at JITF.”
He stated that the Kingdom has allocated $650 billion for the implementation of colossal projects in industry and infrastructure which is proving to be a key driver of the country’s vibrant economy.
“The rising Saudi franchising industry, estimated at $1.2 billion and growing at 14 per cent per annum, is one of the Kingdom’s most vibrant sectors with highly promising potential,” he added.
He pointed out that JITF’s franchising showcase is serving as an annual meeting point for international and regional franchisers, entrepreneurs, agents, and business owners either seeking face-to-face interaction with investors, or establishing long-term connections with potential franchisees.
“It will offer endless opportunities for both investors and exhibitors to help enhance the ever growing Saudi franchise market” he said.
The fair attracts businessmen from across Saudi Arabia and neighbouring Gulf States eager to see the latest products and services on offer from a wide and varied exhibitor profile. – TradeArabia News Service
