Etisalat, SES partner for Disney shows in UAE

Etisalat, a leading telecom provider in the region, has signed a sponsorship agreement with Sport and Entertainment Solutions (SES) towards offer distinctive family-oriented propositions and some of the world’s best in entertainment to kids and families in the UAE.

SES is the exclusive Middle East promoter of Disney On Ice and Disney Live! in the region.

The first show Etisalat will be involved in is Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After from September 10 to 13 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

“Dubai is recognized as a leading entertainment hub, known for attracting top names and events to the Emirate,” said Ahmed Al Hashmi, senior vice president of Brand and Communication at Etisalat.

“We are very excited to be part of this exciting show that will offer a highly entertaining experience for children and adults of all ages and backgrounds living here. It provides a perfect destination for an evening of fun-packed time with family and also forms a great platform for us to connect with our customers and the audience in general.”

Disney On Ice is a series of touring ice shows produced by Feld Entertainment under an agreement with The Walt Disney Company. There are currently 10 productions and touring companies at any given time. Sport & Entertainment Solutions signed an exclusive deal with Feld Entertainment in 2013 to bring Disney On Ice to the region over the coming years. The first production was in Doha in June 2013 where over 40,000 people attended 11 sold out shows.

SES founder and CEO Ali Haidary said Etisalat’s support would enhance the Disney On Ice brand and build followers throughout the region using its unlimited communications platforms.

“Etisalat has had great success in the sporting arena and we believe their move to invest in the family entertainment industry will help to ensure the Disney On Ice brand has a home in the UAE for many years to come,” he said. “This will in turn guarantee Disney On Ice fans continuity and longevity, allowing families to plan in advance their calendar of events.”

Etisalat’s customers and partners can enjoy the chance to attend the show by participating in contests running Etisalat’s social media platforms and Etisalat Marketplace application, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
