Four Communications to acquire Consolidated PR

ABU DHABI, September 16, 2014

Four Communications, an independent integrated agency with offices in London, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, has made an offer to acquire 100 per cent of Consolidated PR.

The offer has been recommended by the board of Consolidated PR and more than 90 per cent of shareholders have already agreed, said a statement.

The deal is expected to complete in early October, it said.

Consolidated PR is a public relations brand in the UK and the only agency on both the government communications framework and the Scottish government roster.  It has offices in London and Edinburgh.

With the addition of Consolidated PR, Four Communications Group fee income would reach some £15.5 million ($25.1 million).

Nick Clark, MD of Consolidated will join the Four Communications operating board and directors Will Holt, Elspeth Rothwell, Liz Fay and Anne Clarke will become practice directors, said the statement. Rothwell has also been promoted to deputy managing director of Consolidated PR.

Nan Williams, Four Communications chief executive, said: “We are pleased to make this offer to the shareholders of Consolidated PR and look forward to the completion of the deal as the next step in both our futures. Consolidated PR is an excellent fit alongside our other communications teams and does exceptional work for an amazing list of clients.”

“We believe the future of communications is integrated and international and by joining Four we are opening up those opportunities for our clients and people. The board has unanimously voted to recommend this future to shareholders,” added Clark.

Upon completion of the deal, Consolidated PR will initially retain its brand while the companies plan for the future, and its staff will move into Four Communication’s offices in London Bridge. - TradeArabia News Service
