The Business Year publishes Saudi edition

RIYADH, December 5, 2014

The Business Year (TBY), a leading provider of business investment services and publisher of yearly information resources on national economies and business environments, has published ‘The Business Year: Saudi Arabia 2014.’

This research on the business and investment landscape in Saudi Arabia features more than 250 interviews with major policy makers and business leaders as well as in-depth analysis on the majors sectors of the economy, said a statement.

It was produced in partnership with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and Asharqia Chamber.

The interviews have been structured around chapters covering the main sectors of the economy: diplomacy and politics, economy, finance, energy, industry and mining, information and communication technology, transport, real estate and construction, agriculture, health and education, and tourism.

TBY’s research articles provide the reader with vital facts and figures—at both the macroeconomic and microeconomic levels—as well as highlight specific projects, investments, and opportunities.

The publication concludes with an executive guide, with Merali’s providing an accountancy framework for foreign companies interested in expanding their businesses into the Saudi Arabian market.

Over 87,000 copies of The Business Year: Saudi Arabia 2014 were distributed internationally, as well as an additional 120,000 via TBY’s Iphone, Ipad and Android applications.

Betül Çakaloğlu, regional director of TBY, said: “The demand for intelligence from the Saudi Arabian market is substantial and growing. Our work in the country will spread awareness to the international business community and help ambitious firms and individuals to enter the market successfully.

“Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the Gulf, and growth in non-oil sectors has been bolstered by strong government spending, advancing regulatory structures, and the recent opening of the stock market to international investors. These developments have spurred increased international attention and The Business Year: Saudi Arabia 2014 is currently in very high demand inside and outside of Saudi Arabia.”

Mohammed Al Kathiri, secretary-general of RCCI, added: “I’ve read the latest remarkable volume of The BusinessYear 2014 on Saudi Arabia by The Business Year International. The most notable aspect of this edition has been its full coverage of a wide range of different economic and financial features as well as its conduct of numerous interviews with the kingdom’s most prominent businessmen engaged in diverse domains and key fields.”

Mazen Batarji, deputy chairman of JCCI, said: “TBY is a specialised economic magazine well-known worldwide, and provide the readers with vital information which can help Saudi and international business communities in expanding their business in the Saudi market.”

Abdul Rahman Al Otaishan, chairman, Asharqia Chamber, said: “The Business Year: Saudi Arabia 2014 is a great initiative aimed at promoting Saudi Arabia as one of the preferred destinations for foreign firms not only in the Middle East, but also in the world as a whole. Judged by its wealth of contents featuring market surveys, forecasting and analysis, it has become an essential tool for everyone interested in on-going trade and businesses in the kingdom.” - TradeArabia News Service
