Frankfurt Book Fair, the biggest book and media fair in the world, is set to welcome around 7,300 exhibitors from 100 countries, when it opens its doors on October 14.

The five-day event organises the participation of German publishers at around 20 international book fairs.

The Frankfurt Book Fair also maintains the most visited website worldwide for the publishing industry, www.book-fair.com, and is a subsidiary of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association.

Book Fairs are great places to meet authors, writers, media and people of the publishing world.

Throughout the year many major book fairs take place, attracting thousands of people from around the world.

Most recently was the Abu Dhabi book fair which saw 1,024 exhibitors from 50 countries make an appearance along with more than 500,000 titles on display. Also last month was The Book Expo America which took place in New York City.

The international book fair will also be held in Tokyo, Hong Kong and South Africa next month, as well as Beijing in August.-TradeArabia News Service
