The UAE Web Awards has honoured individuals and companies from UAE’s web industry in 26 different categories.

The event was held in association with Microsoft, Gowealthy.com and Business Software Alliance (BSA), the international association established by the software industry to promote a safe and legal digital world.

“This is a competition that seeks to recognise creative web designing talent in the UAE,” said president of the Web Awards Programme in the Arab region Pierre Moukarzel.

Moukarzel said that the key objectives of the UAE Web Awards competition are to support innovation and showcase exceptional web designing creativity as well as to promote awareness of intellectual property issues.

“We believe the awards will help in raising standards of web designing in the Arab world,” he added.
