DQG to host Benchmarking Conference

Dubai, December 4, 2007

The second International Benchmarking Conference will be open at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai, tomorrow (December 5).

The two-day conference will be hosted by Dubai Quality Group (DQG), an organisation dedicated to raising the general performance level of the local business environment, in collaboration with the Global Benchmarking Network (GBN).

To be organised under the patronage of president of Dubai Department of Civil Aviation, chairman of Emirates Group and patron of the Dubai Quality Group Sheikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the international conference will provide a networking platform for leading organisations and professionals from across the globe to exchange practical ideas and solutions for improving corporate performance.

The conference will have presentations from some of the world's best business speakers and scholars in the field of benchmarking. Representatives from organisations that have excelled at applying best practices will also share their success stories.

The event's powerful line-up of speakers comprising experts in organisational excellence, include director general, Dubai Courts, Dr Ahmed Bin Hazeem, director, Strategy Management Excellence, Dubai Courts, Dr Yousuf Al Suwaidi, group director, Business Excellence, Dubai Holding, Shawqi Sajwani and director of Business Excellence, Dubai Holding, Khaled Khattab.

In addition, experts from the Global Benchmarking Network representing over 25 countries will also be speaking at the conference. The distinguished international panel of speakers includes head of the Centre for Organisational Excellence Research, New Zealand and Chairman of Global Benchmarking Network Dr Robin Mann and principal, Best Practice Institute in the US Dr Robert Camp.

With its theme 'Destination: Business Excellence', the conference targets business leaders, managers and professionals seeking the latest concepts and best practices in the business world.
