Tree plantation drive at schools

Manama, March 11, 2008

A tree planting ceremony was conducted by Riffa Views as part of its roadshow that involves visiting more than 50 schools in Bahrain to plant more than 80 trees.

The tree was planted  at Al Iman Girls School, Isa Town by Riffa Views chief executive officer Richard Browning, pupils, teachers and school officials.

The roadshow follows on from the success of the Riffa Views Eden Challenge environment competition held in support of the Riffa Views Bahrain International Garden Show (RVBIGS) 2008 last month.

'Today's tree planting is part of our ongoing environmental commitment to Bahrain, and it's a reminder of the dedication showed by the school-children involved in the Eden Challenge,' said Browning.

'Al Iman Girls School's pupils designed a stunning floral mosaic, which we built in life-size and displayed at the recent RVBIGS 2008.

'The floral mosaic attracted much attention and captivated visitors to the show.'-TradeArabia News Service
