US Fifth Fleet says Iran contacts ‘routine’

The US Fifth Fleet's relations with their Iranian couterparts in the Gulf waterway remain 'routine and professional', a spokesman said on Wednesday after the US accused Iran of plotting to kill the Saudi ambassador in Washington.
'Our interactions with the Iranians remain routine and professional,' said the spokesman in Bahrain, where the fleet is based. – Reuters
