IGG to showcase latest security solutions
Abui Dhabi, February 28, 2012
International Golden Group (IGG), a leading supplier of homeland security (HLS) solutions to the UAE authorities, will demonstrate latest HLS solutions at a major show in Abu Dhabi next month.
The 5th International Security & National Resilience (ISNR) Exhibition & Conference will be held from the March 19 to March 21 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
IGG is the first UAE-based private joint stock company primarily focused on supplying advanced technology-driven solutions to major security and defence organizations such as the UAE Armed Forces, the Presidential Guard Command, the UAE Ministry of Interior, and Abu Dhabi’s Critical National Infrastructure Authority.
It has extensive experience supporting government agencies in systems integration projects and providing turnkey integrated products and system infrastructures, a statement said.
Among IGG’s latest achievements is the finalisation of a Dh60 million ($16.33 million) contract with a European supplier of security systems and related equipment.
In 2010 Tawazun Holding acquired a 26 per cent share in IGG, thus enabling the latter to use new strategies and business models to further expand its security expertise and offerings. Tawazun is an investment holding company focused on defense and specialised manufacturing and is the Strategic Partner of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2012, said the statement.
During ISNR Abu Dhabi 2012, IGG will showcase state-of-the-art technologies and equipment for manned and unmanned vehicular platforms; remote and crew-served turreted weapons systems; counter terrorism and emergency response; special task force weapons systems; critical infrastructure surveillance, detection and protection; and general security services.
“Homeland security is today considered both a regional and international priority. ISNR facilitates regional interaction and exposure to UAE-based companies and provides a platform for discussing the ever-changing need for technologies and equipment that can better combat international terrorism, protect national borders and build disaster resilience,” said Fadel Saif Al Kaabi, chief executive officer, International Golden Group.
“IGG has been participating with ISNR Abu Dhabi since the event’s inception and is a valued partner. Its contributions are vital to the reinforcement of the local HLS sector, especially as it serves a number of key security and defence entities,” added Mohamad Bader-Eddin, show director, Reed Exhibitions Middle East.
The event is fully supported by the UAE Ministry of Interior led by Deputy Prime Minister Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Over 220 exhibitors from more than 24 countries are expected to attend the expo. – TradeArabia News Service
