Al Fanar Restaurant to open new outlet at Yas Mall

ABU DHABI, April 12, 2015

Al Fanar Restaurant and Café, a restaurant offering traditional Emirati cuisine in a themed rustic setting, will open a new outlet at Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi, after Ramadan.

With a capacity to accommodate about 340 people, the new outlet will be an ideal venue for tourists as well as residents to experience authentic Emirati cuisine with family and friends, it said.

Hashem Al Marzouqi, principal, Al Fanar Restaurant and Café, said: “We are honoured and privileged to extend our hospitality to people in a new location as we open a branch at Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi. This new development is part of our strategic expansion and growth of Al Fanar Restaurant and Café as a brand.”

He pointed out the food of a country reflects its culture and traditions, and Al Fanar Restaurant and Cafe is a window to Emirati culture. The restaurant puts the spotlight on the rich Emirati tradition, heritage and cuisine, the skills of people who create them, and the local produce.

The menu boasts many signature historic dishes such as ‘Aysh Mohammar ma Samak Magli’, ‘Beryani Maleh’ and ‘Asidat Al Tamor’.

He added: “We decided to include them in our menu in keeping with the spirit of our identity and to give our guests a taste of the bygone era.”

Al Fanar Restaurant and Café first began operation at Dubai Festival City Mall followed by its second outlet in Venetian Village within Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal. Inspired from Dubai’s various facets in 1960s, it offers diners a unique experience recreated from the age-old traditions of a Bedouin way of life.

"Reviving memories of Dubai as a small town on the shores of the Arabian Gulf, every corner of the restaurant has a story to tell. Here, along with glimpses of a bygone era are served the finest Emirati flavours," said a statement. - TradeArabia News Service
