Bahrain leadership exchanges Eid greetings with world leaders

Bahrain’s leadership last night exchanged greetings on Eid Al Fitr with world leaders and leaders of the Arab and Islamic countries.

His Majesty King Hamad held a telephone conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and exchanged good wishes on the advent of Eid Al Fitr, wishing the Arab and Islamic nations more progress and prosperity, said report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

His Majesty received cables of congratulations from US President Barack Obama and UK Premier David Cameron on the occasion.

President Obama and Premier Cameron wished His Majesty abundant health and happiness and the people of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

His Majesty also exchanged greetings with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Amir of Kuwait Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman and Amir of Qatar Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

His Majesty expressed sincere greetings to the GCC leaders and wished them abundant health and happiness and their brotherly countries and peoples further progress and prosperity.

His Majesty received greetings from Kuwait’s Crown Prince Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, also exchanged similar cables of greetings with GCC, Arab and Islamic leaders.

HRH the Premier and HRH the Crown Prince received cables of congratulations from National Guard Commander Lieutenant-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club president Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa and Royal Court Affairs Minister Shaikh Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Majesty, the Premier and the Crown Prince received cables of congratulations from senior members of the Ruling Family, chairmen of parliament and Shura Council, ministers, senior officials, dignitaries, MPs, Shura councils members, municipal council members, governors, diplomats, Bahrain’s ambassadors abroad, heads of diplomatic missions, heads of sport associations and clubs and citizens.
