Naval vigil foils drugs smuggling in Bahrain

MANAMA, September 4, 2015

Billions of dollars worth of narcotics were seized during the tenure of the outgoing Commander of the Fifth Fleet and US Naval Forces Central Command, it was revealed yesterday (September 3). A change of command ceremony was held last night aboard the US naval aircraft carrier the USS Theodore Roosevelt, with Vice-Admiral John Miller, who has held the position since 2012, stepping down, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
