New lifeline for human trafficking victims in Bahrain

MANAMA, November 30, 2015

Victims of human trafficking in Bahrain have been thrown a lifeline thanks to a new residential safe home in North Sehla. The centre opened its doors yesterday (November 29) with a ceremony held under the patronage of Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa that was attended by Labour Minister Jameel Humaidan and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) regional representative Dr Hatem Ali, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
