The Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp), a leading developer and operator of purpose-built industrial zones in the UAE, has joined the Abu Dhabi Food Security Alliance at the recent SIAL ME food expo in Dubai.

 ZonesCorp is planning to support the Alliance by encouraging local agriculture and livestock farming with a series of initiatives that will be announced in 2017. This comes alongside the announcement that ZonesCorp has created an enlarged and specialised ‘Food Zone’ designed to cater to the needs of a wide range of food producers.

Saeed Eisa Mohammed Al Khyeli, director general of ZonesCorp said: “We believe that food security is an important issue, with a growing population and dependence on imports, we need to ensure that we do everything we can to enhance the security of the emirate and our nation. As a result we will be taking positive steps to support the Abu Dhabi Food Security Alliance with a number of initiatives designed to advance local food production and agriculture. ”
