Dollar Rent a Car has opened its first fully-operational outlets in Oman, to cater to inbound business and leisure travellers and the local population.

According to company officials, five outlets are planned to open before the end of the year, and will be under the Emirates Cars LLC franchise development.

This tie-up is guaranteed to provide superior car rental services to corporate clients as well as to the growing number of leisure travellers to Oman from within the region and internationally, said a spokesman.

Located in the city centres and hotels, Dollar will service clients in Muscat and Salalah and take advantage of the growing tourism sector with outlets in the cities of Sohar, Salalah and Muscat.

The continued expansion of outlets will reinforce its car rental services across the Middle East and continue maintaining its lead position in the regional market and boost customer services and benefits.

“The travel and tourism industry in Oman is growing exponentially. Salalah and Muscat are key locations because of government involvement and infrastructure development,” said the general manager for Emirates Cars.

“Both Salalah and Muscat have seen an unprecedented number of tourists over the last few years and are key contributors towards the economic boom in Oman.”

Further to the expansion, Dollar is looking to modify their service structure in an effort to strengthen the quality of services provided to customers and offer them innovative rental options that come with the great and varied selection of vehicles.

Dollar also intends to appoint new franchisees in Qatar, Kuwait, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Jordan to meet their growth targets over the coming months.-TradeArabia News Service
