Bahrain International Motor Show (Bims) 2008 is attracting a great deal of interest from Europe.

This follows the show's big success at the 40th Essen Motor Show in Germany.

Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (Beca) generated a lot of leads at the event and are now seeing interest from European carmakers, suppliers and distributors.

Beca was part of the delegation from the kingdom led by Economic Development Board chief executive Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa that attended the German motor show.

Organised by Beca in joint venture with Messe Essen, Bims promises to be the largest car trade and consumer show of its kind in the Middle East encompassing around 17,000 sq m of exhibits when it opens from April 24 to 27.

It is supported by Industry and Commerce Ministry, Bahrain International Circuit and the EDB.
