Volvo Bahrain said it will reveal the new S60 mid-size premium sports sedan in the kingdom in November.

This is the first Volvo model manufactured in the US, in Charleston, South Carolina, said a statement from company.

Håkan Samuelsson, president and chief executive of Volvo Cars, said: “The new model is one of the most exciting cars we’ve ever made.”

“It is a true driver’s car that gives us a strong position in the US and China sedan markets, creating more growth opportunities for our company,” he added.

The model is the first Volvo car to be sold without a diesel offer, signalling the company’s industry-leading commitment to electrification and a long-term future beyond the traditional combustion engine, it said.

The 2020 Volvo S60 is available with multiple powertrain choices. The T4 has a 190-hp FWD and the T5 has a 254-hp AWD.

The new S60 will be available through Motorcity in Bahrain in November, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
