Bangkok to host 23rd Gastech expo

Dubai, January 12, 2008

The countdown to the 23rd Gastech, the largest event ever in the 35-year history of the international conference and exhibition for the LNG, LPG and Natural Gas Industries, has begun in earnest.

Gastech 2008 is being staged at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangkok from March 10 to 13, 2008. The speakers in the dynamic conference have been confirmed; the exhibition is larger than ever; the social events have been meticulously planned; and the registrations are flooding in from all over the world.

“Gastech 2008 in Bangkok has reached a new pinnacle of success,” said event director Tony Stephenson of dmg world media (UK) ltd. “It is a very special event in so many ways. This year we are extremely honoured to have a royal opening. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will officially open the conference on March 10, and will then tour the exhibition.”

Over 300 exhibiting companies from all over the world will take part in the event which makes it 70 per cent larger than the 22nd Gastech held in Abu Dhabi in December 2006.

“Events can only reflect the industries they serve, and Gastech’s phenomenal growth mirrors what is going on in the LNG, LPG and natural gas industries. We are proud to be part of this expanding and vibrant industry. Holding Gastech in Bangkok has proved to be a considerable draw, and we would like to thank our hosts, the PTT Group, for their enthusiasm and support for the show, it has been an honour and pleasure to work with them,” added Stephenson. - TradeArabia News Service
