Total Jordan has announced the appointement of T Gargour & Fils as the official distributor of Elf lubricants in Jordan.

The managing director of Total Jordan, Arnaud Guichard, and the chairman of TGF, Nadim Gargour, signed an agreement committing the deal at the Gargour Showroom on July 9.

The executive vice president Mediterranean & Middle-East for Total refining and marketing, Francois de Ligniville said: ’Our aim is to build successful partnerships and alliances with local entities, in addition to bringing economic and social benefits to the countries that we operate within.’

Nadim Gargour, the chairman of TGF said: ’Our alliance with Total Jordan, an expert in the lubricants and oils industry and a multinational group, will certainly reap positive results on the long-run.”

Total has been represented in Jordan for over ten years through its lubricant brands Total & Elf. Total Jordan was established in August 2007 in the Kingdom and is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Total.

With nearly 16,500 service stations worldwide, Total is No 1 in Western European refining/marketing and No 1 in African marketing. Total also has a strong presence in the Mediterranean Basin and is moving into growing markets in Southeast Asia.
