Total to set up service station in Amman
Amman

Total Jordan, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Total,  has signed an agreement with Amman-based Kayali and Partners to set up a service station in Abdali commercial area.

Under the agreement signed by Arnaud Guichard, Total Jordan managing director and Dr Tahseen Kayali general manager of the station, Total Jordan will supervise and manage the station.

Commenting on the partnership, Guichard said the initiative from Total Jordan serves to strengthen the company’s position in the Jordanian market. "We are proud to contribute to the development of the Jordanian fuel sector," he remarked.

Dr Kayali expressed pride at the signing of the deal with Total Jordan, which was established in August 2007 in the Kingdom.

"I am sure that the experience of Total in the field of oil will be reflected on the oil services within the station," he noted.

Total has been present in Jordan for over ten years through its lubricant brands Total and Elf. With nearly 16,500 service stations worldwide, Total is No.1 in Western Europe refining/marketing, and No.1 in African marketing.

It also has a strong presence in the Mediterranean Basin and is moving into growing markets in Southeast Asia.-TradeArabia News Service
