Jordan inks nuclear deal with Belgian firm

Amman, September 13, 2009

Jordan has signed a $12 million deal with a Belgian company to build its first nuclear power plant.

Its Atomic Energy Commission chief Khaled Toukan signed the deal in Amman with Tractebel Engineering head Georges Cornet, according to a report in our sister newspaper Gulf Daily News.
