Tatweer sees solid production in 2013

The oil and gas production increased last year at Tatweer Petroleum, the ambitious new oil venture of Bahrain, while several major projects were commissioned, said a senior minister.

Tatweer is a joint venture between National Oil and Gas Authority Holding (Noga holding), Occidental Petroleum Corporation and Mubadala Development Company.

Finance Minister and Minister in charge of Oil and Gas Affairs and Tatweer Petroleum chairman Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa was speaking at the first half-yearly all employees' meeting of Tatweer held at Bapco Club, Awali.

Shaikh Ahmed lauded the Tatweer employees for their role in the achievements during last year.

The company holds two meetings each year for the staff where the management shares achievements and plans and responds to staff concerns.

The minister also thanked the management and the employees for their commitment, dedication and continued efforts to increase oil and gas production and achieve Tatweer's goals and objectives in support to Bahrain's economy.-TradeArabia News Service
