Oil production issues in focus at Bapco meeting

Oil production issues are in the spotlight at a key meeting being hosted by Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco).
Bapco is hosting the 36th meeting of GCC national oil companies production and maintenance teams, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
The three-day meeting started yesterday at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa under the patronage of Bapco general manager for human resources and administration Ghassan Al Muhanna, who is also in charge of exploration and petroleum engineering.
Nearly 50 engineers from various leading GCC national oil companies including Saudi Aramco, Adnoc, Qatar Petroleum, Kuwait Oil Company, Petroleum Development Oman and Bapco are participating.
Bapco's representative at the meeting, manager for gas distribution and sales Nasser Al Mossalli said the event will include two-days of presentations delivered by specialists from the participating companies during which technical papers will be presented on the theme, "Reservoir Life Cycle and its Implications on Surface Facilities Development".
"On the final day of the event, a field trip will be arranged to the oil facilities at Tatweer Petroleum in the Bahrain Field," he added.
The meeting is in line with the directives of the GCC national oil companies' aim to exchange knowledge and expertise, and to foster joint co-operation in oil facilities production and maintenance technology development among the participating companies. - TradeArabia News Service
