Aquarion sets up subsidiary in UAE

BAAR, Switzerland, May 6, 2015

Aquarion Group, a leading provider of advanced technologies for the oil & gas industry sector and process industries, has established a wholly owned subsidiary located in Sharjah, UAE.

Aquarion Middle East will focus on providing advanced water and wastewater treatment solutions to industrial customers in the UAE and other countries in the Mena region, with particular emphasis on the oil & gas market, focusing on upstream and downstream technologies to include Zero Liquid Discharge, Spent Caustic and Produced Water Treatment.

David A Howsley, who joins Aquarion as the CEO for the Mena region and heads up the companies' business development strategy in the Middle East, will also manage the Sharjah operation.

Howsley brings more than 30 years international experience in water treatment to Aquarion, including 20 years working in the global Oil & Gas industry. Prior to joining Aquarion, he was chief operating officer at TIG Group GmbH.
