Rescued lion "Coco" drinks water in its cage while it is being quarantined at a temporary custody centre in Lima on August 22. In the past week, British-based NGO Animal Defenders International (ADI) and Peruvian authorities oversaw the release of nine lions from three different circuses in the cities of Huaral, Ayacucho and Cusco.
