Viewsonic unveils new desktop monitor
Dubai:, January 12, 2008
Viewsonic has launched a new 22-inch widescreen VLED221wm desktop monitor in the Middle East.
The new led display drives colour performance and dynamic Contrast Ratio beyond current industry standard, the company said in a statement.
Taking LED backlight technology down to size, the VLED221wm provides colour experts, such as graphic designers, multi-media editors and gamers, with colour precision and reproduction never before seen in an LED monitor.
The ViewSonic VLED221wm is Windows Vista certified and will be available to ship to the Middle East in February for the estimated street price of $799.
Sold through authorized ViewSonic resellers, distributors, retailers and e-tailers, the display is backed by a three-year limited warranty on parts and labor.
The VLED221wm is compliant with the strictest safety and environmental standards, including TCO and ENERGY STAR, and is made with environmentally friendly materials.
“The VLED221wm monitor is a prime example of ViewSonic’s heritage of consistently setting and raising the performance industry benchmarks, both in terms of display product design and leading edge desktop user performance,” said Aaron Fright, Regional Director - Middle East & Africa, ViewSonic Middle East.
“Utilising the latest light emitting diode (LED) backlight technology, the VLED221wm product delivers a richer range of colour depth,” Fright said.
“This will give users a greater band-width of colour performance and set new standards in ‘front of screen’ performance for the Middle East region’s discerning desktop display users, in particular those who use mission-critical desktop graphic applications such as web design, CAD, DTP, and the high-end gaming enthusiasts who wish to create more impactful and realistic desktop environments for themselves. – TradeArabia News Service
