Axiom Telecom opens its 49th UAE store
Dubai, March 20, 2011
Axiom Telecom, the leading mobile and smartphone retailer in the Middle East, has opened its 49th UAE store in the emirate of Ajman.
The 687 square foot store is part of Axiom’s ambitious future expansion plans and has plans to open new stores across the UAE and the Middle East region. The UAE-based retailer currently has 900 stores across the Middle East in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.
Axiom Telecom continues to experience an increase in footfall and sales in its stores in the Middle East and particularly in the UAE, a statement said.
In this year’s Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), Axiom Telecom saw an increase in footfall and sales with a 15-20 per cent increase month over month, (increased footfall and sales vs pre-DSF period) and a 12 per cent increase in value compared to last year’s DSF.
“Our expansion has been possible due to the growth we achieved by understanding the ever-evolving needs of consumers and delivering exactly the same. For example, we have seen an increased consumer demand in our stores for tablet PCs and have established dedicated tab zones within our stores and constantly train staff on new products and technologies so they can provide consumers with the right comparisons, knowledge and insights,” said Faisal Al Bannai, CEO of Axiom Telecom.
The store in Ajman, located within the Co-operative Society Aswag in Al Naimi, further gives customers access to Axiom’s range of value added services.
The new store stocks the latest brands including BlackBerry, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Apple, and more.-TradeArabia News Service
