Samsung unveils vision for smarter living at Mena forum

Samsung Electronics showcased its vision for smarter living at the 2015 Samsung Mena Forum recently held in Antalya, Turkey.

Reinforcing its leadership of the regional TV market, Samsung is the entertainment experience to the next level with its 88-inch SUHD TV and its new audio solutions delivering a premium sound experience, said a statement.

Samsung also unveiled clever home appliances inspired by professional chefs to give home cooks a better experience in the kitchen and superior appliances which deliver exceptional cooling, comfort and hygienic benefits, it said.

For the camera market, Samsung showcase its new NX500 camera, inspired by the performance and features of its award-winning NX1 series.

In addition, Samsung demonstrated its new line up of sleek Galaxy A smartphones, which offer ways of capturing and sharing digital experiences.

The firm’s 88-inch JS9500 TV is powered by a proprietary, eco-friendly Nano-crystal display technology and intelligent SUHD re-mastering engine. The TV’s nano-crystal technology transmits different colours of light depending on their size to produce the highest colour purity and light efficiency available.

Samsung is offering three new series of SUHD TVs  JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500  from 48- to 88-inches, so consumers have the flexibility to purchase the perfect TV that fits their style and taste.

It’s audio products line-up for the Mena region include the WAM7500/6500, that delivers a 360-degree sound experience with Samsung’s proprietary ring radiator technology. This enables true omni-directional sound both horizontally and vertically. 


It also unveiled its new Curved Soundbar HW-J8500/8501, which complements Samsung Curved TVs from 48-inches to 78-inches. This premium audio solution offers 9.1 channel audio for a truly immersive experience. The Curved Soundbar is connected wirelessly to the TV and can be used to stream music through Samsung’s multiroom functionality.

Other appliances showcased at the forum included the debut Samsung Chef Collection refrigerator, a premium professional chef-level appliance developed in collaboration with Samsung Club des Chefs; latest top load washer, the Samsung Activ' dualwash; the new Samsung Powerbot VR9000 that features an array of advanced technologies and features to do the heavy lifting for today’s busy households, from hardwood to carpet; and the new Samsung AR7500 air conditioner.

It also announced the launch of ten new multi-function printer (MFP) models in the Mena region. The MFPs are the first printers of their kind to be equipped with an Android operating system, and are designed to be more independent, intuitive and scalable for all types of business environments.

The new Android based MFPs will feature Samsung’s Smart UX Center to operate independently without a PC, app scalability, and a consumer friendly UI. - TradeArabia News Service
