Philips unveils 43-inch 4K ultra HD monitor

DUBAI, March 6, 2016

MMD, Asia Pacific brand licensing partner of Philips Monitors, has unveiled a new 43-inch 4K ultra-HD monitor, offering crystal clear images in a bigger picture.

Philips designed its new Ultra High Definition (UHD) monitor with the most discerning customers in mind: demanding professionals requiring extremely detailed images for meticulous applications, such as CAD solutions, 3D graphics applications, and broad content-heavy spreadsheets, a statement said.

The new Brilliance monitor (BDM4350UC) features Philips’ MultiView 4K, allowing four systems to be viewed in full HD on one screen, which can improve collaboration and increase productivity. The multiple connectivity options of the monitor provide an optimized multimedia experience.

The new Philips Brilliance high performance display features UltraClear 4K UHD resolution at 3840 x 2160 pixels. This 4K resolution is four times higher than Full HD, presenting stunning, crystal clear images with exceptional detail, according to the statement.

The display features an advanced IPS 178/178-degree technology that permits extra wide viewing angles while maintaining the monitor’s remarkably crisp images and vivid colours. IPS displays are ideal for professional projects that require specific colours and brightness, as well as for general use for viewing and editing photos, watching movies and for web browsing.

The SmartImage feature provides crisp, vivid images. This exclusive Philips technology will optimize the contrast, colour saturation and sharpness of videos and images to fit any task. A number of modes are available including office, photo or movie, game, and an economy mode for maximum power saving control.

Philips’ MultiView technology makes complex multi-tasking duties much simpler. MultiView 4K transmits up to four video feeds in full HD on one screen. The display enables picture-by-picture (PbP) and picture-in-picture (PiP) for monitoring multiple systems in a variety of viewing modes.

MultiView capabilities also permit two devices – a PC and notebook, for example – to work simultaneously on the same display, making collaboration more productive.

The monitor is more than just a display – a pair of high quality 7-watt stereo speakers are built-in. Viewing enjoyment is doubled by the vibrant sound quality.

Featuring Philips’ SmartConnect for 4K, the display is equipped with ample connectivity options. These include VGA, DisplayPort and universal HDMI connector, enabling users to enjoy high resolution uncompressed video and audio content. New DisplayPort and HDMI 2.0 connection now allows 4K UHD resolution at 60Hz for a smooth experience, regardless of the connection.

A USB 3.0 hub deploys a 5.0 gigabyte per second transfer rate, which is about 10 times faster than standard USB 2.0 compatibilities. FastCharge enables high speed data transfers and fast phone charging.

Additionally, with Mobile High Definition Link (MHL), one can connect mobile devices to the monitor to simultaneously charge and stream mobile multimedia onto the 4K display, the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
